2016 UNU-GEST alumni blogsites published: Climate Change – the North and the South
UNU-GEST alumni Stella Tereka, Miriam Akot, Diana Younis Mahmoud Al-Azzeh and Abel Nuwamanya have completed and published a comparative analysis on the topic of climate change and its manifestation in the North and South as part of a field study related assessment.

2016 alumnus Daniel Amponsah submits UNU-GEST final assignment to Ministry of Gender and Social Protection in Ghana
Mr. Amponsah submitted his completed project to Nana Oye Lithur, a human rights lawyer and leading advocate on sexual and gender equality in Ghana, as well as Minister of Gender and Social Protection.

Internship opportunities for spring semester 2017
UNU-GEST is seeking applicants for an internship period during the spring semester of 2017.
The goal of the internship placement is to offer students in related fields of study an opportunity to get acquainted with applied approaches to work towards gender equality.

UNU-GEST and Makerere University offer scholarships
UNU-GEST collaboration with Makerere University in Uganda continues and the partners are pleased to offer full scholarships to two master´s students of Makerere University School of Women and Gender studies to attend the UNU-GEST diploma programme 2017. The scholarships are partially funded by the Erasmus + grant scheme.

UNU-GEST alumna participates in 2016 Women Deliver Conference
Shaista de Araújo, 2015 UNU-GEST alumna from Mozambique, attended the 2016 triennial Women Deliver Conference during 16-19 May in Copenhagen, Denmark
