Former UNU-LRT fellow promoted to a Director

Mr Azamat Isakov from Kyrgyzstan, a former UNU-LRT fellow from 2013, has been elected a Director at his organization CAMP Alatoo in Kyrgyzstan. Previously Mr Isakov was a Coordinator for a Pasture Management Project at CAMP Alatoo, a Public Foundation established in 2004 that promotes sustainable improvement of mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Farewell to Andemariam Teklesenbet

It is with our deepest regret that we announce the death of Andemariam Teklesenbet, geophysicist from Eritrea, who passed away on Thursday 30 January. Andemariam died after several years of battling a difficult illness through which he showed courage and dignity to the very end.

New members on the UNU-GTP studies board

The UNU-GTP is academically governed by a Studies Board, whose members are experts in their field and are responsible for each of the specialized courses relating to their field. Some of the members have been on the Board from its establishment but are now retiring from their position and therefore the Board welcomes new members and gives thanks to the retiring members for their contribution through the years.

UNU-FTP Welcomes Dr. Eddie Allison

The UNU-FTP is pleased to welcome Dr. Eddie Allison, this year's guest lecturer. Dr. Allison will be in Iceland to give a series of lectures and seminars from Monday February 3rd to Friday February 7th. In addition to these lectures, Dr. Allison will meet individually with several UNU-FTP fellows to provide valuable insight as they work through challenges in their individual research projects.
