The UNU-GTP conducted Short Course V on Well Design and Geothermal Drilling Technology for selected employees of EDA RENOVÁVEIS and the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada of São Miguel Island of the Azores, from January 18th to 30th.

Announcement of MSc and PhD fellowship recipients

The evaluation of the applications received from former UNU Fellows for UNU-GTP Fellowships for MSc and PhD studies in Iceland has now been carried out. There were 12 valid applications for MSc studies and 5 for the PhD studies, which shows good interest for geothermal studies in Iceland.

The first MSc Fellow defends his thesis at RU

In 2013, UNU-GTP and Reykjavík University signed a contract of co-operation on MSc studies in geothermal energy. On 17. December, Tufwane Mwagomba became the first MSc Fellow to defend his thesis at Reykjavík University.
