UNU-GTP is currently conducting Short Course on Borehole Geophysics for Geothermal Development in Ethiopia for selected employees of the Geological Survey of Ethopia (GSE) and the Geothermal Sector Development Project of Ethiopian Elelectric Power (EEP).

The Workshop on Utilization of Geothermal Resources for Decision Makers from Romania was held in Oradea, Romania, on May 27-28, in cooperation with the University of Oradea. The workshop covered the basics of geothermal development from exploration stages to utilization and management. Lecturing was in the hands of Mr. Lúdvík S. Georgsson, Director of UNU-GTP, Dr. Árni Ragnarsson, UNU-GTP instructor and expert at ÍSOR, and Prof. Marcel Rosca, Vice Rector of the Universtiy of Oradea.

Short Course on Well Design and Geothermal Drilling Technology is currently underway in Djibouti.

Urbanus Kioko Mbithi, MSc Fellow in reservoir engineering at the University of Iceland will give a lecture on his MSc project on Thursday 26 May, 2016 at 14:00 at University of Iceland, Askja building, room 129.
