The UNU-GTP is currently conducting a Short Course on Geothermal Project Management in Djibouti for selected employees of the Djiboutian Development Office for Geothermal Energy (ODDEG), the Ministry of Energy, Water and Natural Resources (MERN) and the Djibouti Center for Research Studies (CERD).

The UNU-GTP is currently conducting Short Course IV on Chemistry of Thermal Fluids in the Azores islands of Portugal for selected employees of EDA RENOVÁVEIS – the department of renewables within the Electricity Company of the Azores (EDA) – and the University of the Azores.

In the past week, 5-10 September, UNU-GTP held a Short Course on Preparation of Bankable Documents for Geothermal Projects in Djibouti for selected employees of the Djiboutian Development Office for Geothermal Energy (ODDEG), the Ministry of Energy, Water and Natural Resources (MERN) and the Djibouti Center for Research Studies (CERD).

The United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme (UNU-GTP) in Iceland, Kenya Electricity Generating Company Ltd. (KenGen), and Geothermal Development Company (GDC) in Kenya will be hosting “Short Course X on Exploration for Geothermal Resources”, to be held at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort and Enashipai Spa and Resort, Naivasha, Kenya, November 9 to December 1, 2015.

Last week, the Rector of UNU, Dr David Malone, visited the four Iceland based UNU Programmes: UNU-GTP, UNU-FTP, UNU-LRT, and UNU-GEST.

The UNU-GTP is currently conducting Short Course III on Borehole Geophysics in Geothermal Development in the Azore islands of Portugal for selected employees of EDA RENOVÁVEIS – the department of renewables within the Electricity Company of the Azores (EDA).
