WGC2015 Fellowships
The World Geothermal Congress (WGC2015) will be held 19-25 April, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia.
This Congress has been held every 5 years since 1995 and as for the last three World Geothermal Congresses, the United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme is supporting a number of former UNU-GTP Fellows in attending the Congress in Melbourne.

Announcing UNU-FTP Guest Lecturer: Ian Goulding
The UNU-FTP is pleased to announce this year's Guest Lecturer for the six month training, Dr. Ian Goulding, an internationally renowned expert on fish processing, handling, and safety. He will hold a series of lectures on topics related to issues of quality control, processing, and fisheries as a tool for development. Lectures will take place February 16-19.
Dr. Goulding's lectures will be held at Matís, which are open but require an RSVP (for more info contact steinar(at)matis.is).

New fellows for 2015 diploma programme
The 2015 UNU-GEST Diploma Programme in International Gender Studies has begun with the arrival of ten fellows who will be participating in the programme this year. The fellows come from Malawi, Mozambique, Palestine (West Bank) and Uganda. The fellows work for various government ministries, human rights and civil society organizations, as well as UN institutions.
