Lecture series event: Keiko Nowacka from the OECD Development Centre discusses SDG#5

"Achieving the gender SDGs: the OECD Development Centre's work on social norms, gender statistics and transformative policy making" is a lecture given by Keiko Nowacka on Thursday, 9 February at 12:00, in the National Museum’s lecture hall. Keiko is the second lecturer in the UNU-GEST & RIKK 2017 Spring Lecture Series.

UNU-FTP fellow Chrisphine Nyamweya to defend PhD at the University of Iceland

Chrisphine Sangara Nyamweya of Kenya first came to Iceland as a fellow of the UNU-FTP in 2012. Through funding provided by the UNU-FTP, he enrolled in a doctoral programme at the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences a the University of Iceland. He will defend his PhD in Ecological Modeling at the Hátíðarsalur in the University of Iceland's Main Building on Monday, January 30th at 10:00.

First RIKK and UNU-GEST lecture series event; documentary screening and discussions 19.01.17

"Notes towards a history", an experimental documentary by Francesca Soans, was screened today at the Iceland National Museum's lecture. This was the first event of UNU-GEST and RIKK lecture series for the spring semester of 2017.

Welcome UNU-FTP Guest Lecturer, Dr. Barry Costa-Pierce

The UNU-FTP is pleased to welcome this year’s guest lecturer, Dr. Barry Costa-Pierce, who is currently the Chair of the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of New England. Dr. Costa-Pierce will present lectures at the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute January 23-25, 2017. These lectures are open to the public.
