UNU-GTP, KenGen and GDC will be hosting SDG Short Course II on Exploration and Development of Geothermal Resources during 9-29 November, at Lake Bogoria and Lake Naivasha in Kenya.

Celebrating graduation from UNU-LRT six-month training programme
On 13 September, UNU-LRT celebrated the graduation of 14 fellows from the annual six-month training programme. The graduates come from eight countries in Africa and Asia: Ethiopia, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mongolia, Niger, Uganda and Uzbekistan. With the graduating fellows of 2017, the total number of graduated fellows from the Land Restoration Training Programme has reached 101 fellows, 46 women and 55 men.

Tomorrow, Friday September 15th our guest lecturer, Ray Hilborn, will conclude his series of lectures at the UNU-FTP with two very exiting talks. They will take place at the UNU-FTP headquarters, Skúlagötu 4, 1st floor in the afternoon from 13:00 until 15:30.

Celebrating with former fellows
This year is the 20th anniversary of UNU-FTP. We mark this in various ways, for example by inviting 22 former fellows to take part in the World Seafood Congress (WSC) and the Fisheries Exhibition (Icefish) held in Iceland this week.
