Abstract
The project proposal analyses the problems of mobility for women in Afghanistan and the effects limited mobility has for the lives of women and their families. The proposal paper focuses on the access of women to public transportation and their right to travel without restrictions. The barriers to women‘s access to public transportation are identified and some suggestions are made regarding how these might be overcome. The proposal suggests special buses for women and outlines what steps need to be taken for this intervention to be successful.
