Women´s Excellence in Scientific Research and Project Management
The project EXCELENTFEM - Women´s Excellence in Scientific Research and Project Management explores ways to enhance research and women´s opportunities within academica. UNU-GEST´s partner is the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest.
The information seminar will be held 10 May, followed by a joint workshop 11 May. For the collaborative workshop, Erla Hlín Hjálmarsdóttir will present on the UNU-GEST approach to teahcing project management to enhance skills for promoting gender equality and Kirstín Flygenring will present on best practices in Iceland to enhance women´s excellence. The collaborative workshop with the partners is intended to identify best practices and joint research initiatives. In her presentation on the workshop, Erla Hlín Hjálmarsdóttir discusses ways how to raise funds to promote women´s excellence in research.
The project is funded through the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014, Bilateral Relations Programme Fund RO-14, "Research within Priority Sectors", through the National Authority for Scientific Resarch and Innovation.
