UNU-GEST Article Series for Wikigender University
Wikigender University recently published a series of online articles by UNU-GEST fellows from the class of 2017. This year UNU-GEST fellows had an opportunity to improve and practice their writing skills during an academic writing seminar as part of the Wikigender University programme.
Annelise Thim from OECD Wikigender University, an online platform for sharing research, data and solutions to advance gender equality initiated by the OECD Development Centre, facilitated the seminar, which aimed at producing a short blog entry for the Wikigender University website on a chosen topic on gender equality-related issues around the world. This resulted in several articles being selected and recently published on the widely-read platform.
UNU-GEST would like to express gratitude to the Wikigender University staff for their professionalism and support and congratulate our fellows for a great work and dedication to advocate for gender equality with interesting articles.
Access to the articles as well as plenty of other resources on the advancement of gender equality can be found organized by topic on the Wikigender website.
On the theme of gender-based violence, the following articles are now accessible online:
Devashia Whyte - Domestic Violence in Jamaica (Gender Based Violence)
Rami Abu Sa’ad- Domestic Violence Legislation in Palestine (Gender Based Violence)
