Programme for RIKK and UNU-GEST spring lecture series
The spring term lecture series, organized by RIKK and UNU-GEST, is up and running. The series is dedicated to the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights to honour the 70th anniversary of the foundational human rights document. Researchers from all around the globe will be presenting interesting aspects surrounding the declaration. A special focus will be given to raising awareness of the value that human rights offer as a tool to tackle persistent gender disparities and address factors that perpetuate gender discrimination and inequality.
The next lecture will take place on February 8th, Ragnhildur Helgadóttir, Dean of the School of Law at Reykjavik University, will address the topic of human dignity in Icelandic Law.

All lectures take place at the National Museum of Iceland between 12:00 and 13:00 are open to the public, free of admission and in English.
