Open Call for Nominations for the 2024 GRÓ GEST Programme
The GRÓ Gender Equality Studies and Training (GRÓ GEST) programme calls for nominations for its academic programme in 2024. The deadline for nominations is 8 March 2023.
The GEST programme is a one semester postgraduate diploma programme (30 ECTS) at the University of Iceland, which runs from January 2024 to May 2024. The programme welcomes nominations from organizations for young professionals who:
- have at least one university degree at BA/BS/BEd level
- are fluent in both spoken and written English
- have at least 2 years of professional experience relevant to the enhancement of gender equality
- are junior professionals or young researchers (priority is given to individuals younger than 35 years old)
- have leadership skills and are in a position to be agents of change
- are committed to enhancing gender equality
- are nationals and residents in low or middle income countries, or from conflict/post-conflict societies that are eligible to receive official development assistance (ODA) according to the most recent DAC (Development Assistance Committee) list.
Candidates shall be nominated by their superior at the organization that is their current place of work. Self-nominations are not accepted.
GEST prioritizes candidates from least developed and lower middle income countries as defined on the DAC list.
