Nordic Women Mediators’ Annual Meeting in Copenhagen 21-22 November 2018
On Wednesday and Thursday 21-22 November 2018, the Nordic Women Mediators (NWM) network's annual meeting will take place in Copenhagen. The meeting is organised by the NWM Danish operational partner, Centre for Resolution of International Conflicts (CRIC) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The Nordic Women Mediators is a network that consists of women from the five Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden - with professional expertise relevant to conflict mediation, peacebuilding and negotiations. The network was established in Oslo in 2015 and aims to influence the strengthening of women‘s inclusion in and influence on peace processes as well as in mediation. This year, the annual meeting will focus on Syria as a country case, focusing on lessons learned and ways forward. The meeting‘s programme will include sessions with external speakers as well as opportunities for sharing knowledge and experiences among network members.
UNU-GEST coordinates the Icelandic network of the Nordic Women Mediators (NWM) in close collaboration with the Icelandic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
