GEST visits CEGENSA in Ghana
Today GRÓ GEST staff visited the offices of CEGENSA - Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy at the University of Ghana. This was part of an ongoing Erasmus+ partnership between CEGENSA at the University of Ghana and the GEST programme at the Univeristy of Iceland.
A very informative and conductive meeting took place, where the two university departments introduced each other to their work and discussed synergies and possibilities for collaboration. Among other things, this resulted in informal agreements to nominate qualified MA students and staff from UG to the GEST programme in collaboration with CEGENSA, and to involve CEGENSA staff in both teaching and supervision of future GEST fellows.
GRÓ GEST is very excited at the prospects of continuing this important collaboration with CEGENSA, as we together continue to empower junior professionals and students from Ghana to formulate and carry out gender equality projects that matter to them and their communities.
