Delegation of Indian business women visits Iceland

Erla Hlín Hjálmarsdóttir introduced UNU-GEST, its mission, training offered and collaboration with partners around the world at a meeting with a delegation of 42 women from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Ladies Organisation (FICCI-FLO), which visited Iceland recently. 

FLO is a national body with nearly 4000 members from all across India. Its prime objective is women´s empowerment through the promotion of entrepreneurship and managerial excellence, but FLO is committed to working towards women empowerment through business women development and capacity building and has to date undertaken various projects.

The objective of the visit was to learn about gender equality in Iceland, and meet with women entrepreneurs and the Association of Women Business Leaders in Iceland.
