Class of 2017 UNU-GEST fellows present final assignments
This year, 18 fellows from 11 countries will graduate with a post-graduate diploma in international gender studies from the UNU-GEST programme at the University of Iceland. The UNU-GEST programme and the class of 2017 fellows would like to extend an invite to an event where fellows will present their final assignments. The event takes place on Monday 22 May 2017 from 11:00 -16:00 in room 101 in Oddi, University of Iceland campus. The event is held in English and open to all. Join the event on Facebook.
The final assignments this year address a wide range of diverse gender equality issues in the fellows´ home countries.
Session I, from 11:00-12:00, addresses responses in fighting gender-based violence and improving health.
Session II runs from 12:00-13:15: Gender-responsive approaches in confronting security and terrorism.
Session III is from 13:45-15:00: Addressing climate change and unlocking opportunities in agriculture.
Session IV is on: Employment and enhanced opportunities for women and girls and runs from 15:00-16:00.
