The work of GRÓ presented to European National Commissions for UNESCO

GRÓ, and in particular the work of the GRÓ Gender Equality Studies and Training Program (GEST), was presented today to European National Commissions for UNESCO that are in Reykjavík for the 6th meeting of their Informal Network, that is co-hosted by Canada and Iceland.

The GEST Fellows Invited to the Icelandic President's Residence

The GRÓ GEST 2022 cohort was invited to visit the Icelandic president, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson at Bessastaðir, the residence of the Icelandic president.
Xavier Shioya Musonye was born on January 8th 1986. He graduated with a BSc degree in Geology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya in 2009. in 2012, took part in the Six Month Training at GTP. He completed his MSc in Geology (Geothermal Energy) from the University of Iceland on  GTP scholarship, in 2015. He began his PhD studies in Applied Sciences (Energy Systems Modeling and Sustainability Studies) on a GTP scholarship at Reykjavik University, in September 2018.
