Nordic Women Mediators' Annual Meeting 2021 and Workshop on Inclusive Mediation to Sustain Peace

The 2021 annual meeting of the Nordic Women Mediators Network took place at the Culture House in Reykjavík from 17-19 November. Prior to the meeting, GRÓ GEST hosted a workshop on inclusive mediation where GRÓ GEST fellows, NWM members and other experts were invited to attend. Each event was attended by over 30 people, in addition to a few NWM members who participated in the annual meeting online.

Former fellow building upon his work in Iceland

Mr. Hardin Jn Pierre, a GRÓ-FTP fellow from 2019, has become the first Saint Lucian to be awarded a scholarship newly established by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Over half of this year's fellows are currently doing a specialisation training in the Northern region, in Akureyri and Sauðárkrókur, and therefore had to travel quite a long distance to get to the workshop.

As this year's Six Month Training Programme approaches mid-term, fellows recently gathered at MFRI headquarters in Hafnarfjörður to attend a two day workshop on final project proposal.

Nordic Women Mediators‘ Annual Meeting 2021 in Reykjavík

The Annual Meeting of the Nordic Women Mediators (NWM) network is hosted by GRÓ GEST and the Icelandic NWM chapter, with support from the Icelandic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and takes place in the Culture House in Reykjavík on 17–19 November. The meeting‘s opening event was held today from 18:00-19:00 with panelists and participants of the Annual Meeting on site and streamed live to registered webinar attendees.

November 30 is the application deadline for the MSc / PhD Scholarships

Fellows graduated from the Six Month Training Programme are eligible to apply for a MSc and/or PhD Scholarship to study at the University of Iceland (UI) and Reykjavík University (RU).
