ELD guest lecturer at GRÓ LRT
Dr Richard Thomas, the Scientific Coordinator of the Economics of Land Degradation (ELD) Initiative, delivered a two-day course on the economics of land dynamics as part of the six-month training programme at GRÓ LRT this week. In his lectures, Dr Thomas introduced the ELD approach and methodology leading to a cost-benefit analysis of sustainable land management options.

Field excursion to the southeast of Iceland
The GRÓ LRT fellows went on a three-day excursion to the south and southeast of Iceland this week. The focus of this excursion was on climate change and its effects on ecosystems and societies.

Congratulations FTP fellows 24th cohort
Yesterday the 24th cohort of GRÓ FTP fellows graduated from the six-month training programme in a ceremony held at the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute -- 22 fellows from 14 countries.

Tuttugu og tveir sérfræðingar frá fjórtán löndum útskrifuðust frá Sjávarútvegsskóla GRÓ í gær. Hópurinn hefur dvalið á Íslandi við nám síðustu sex mánuði og er sá 24. sem lýkur námi við skólann.
