Gender and Climate Change Short Course Implemented in Malawi

Last week, from 2 - 6 October, the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) implemented a five-day training course on Gender and Climate Change in Nkhotakota district in partnership with GRÓ GEST.
The fellows attending the 2024 GEST programme come from 14 different countries.

The 2024 GEST Cohort Selected

After a lengthy selection process during March-July 2023, as the GEST selection panel reviewed nearly 400 nominations from almost 50 countries, 23 candidates from 14 countries have been selected to attend the 2024 GEST academic programme.

The Director of GRÓ GEST visits partners in Ghana

As part of an ongoing Erasmus+ partnership between CEGENSA at the University of Ghana and the GEST programme at the Univeristy of Iceland, the Director of GRÓ GEST visited Accra earlier this year.

Summer Holidays Closure

Yeshiwas Belay: Researching the Gender Dynamics of Ethiopian Peacekeeping Amidst a Civil and Regional Conflict

Yeshiwas Degu Belay, GEST alumnus (2017), is now halfway through his PhD research, which is a joint degree programme of the University of Iceland and Erasmus University of Rotterdam and investigates Ethiopian experiences with international peacekeeping missions and the gender dimensions.
