GRÓ GEST alumna deployed by Iceland as fully funded UN Volunteer in India
United Nations Volunteers (UNV) and the Government of Iceland through the GRÓ International Centre for Capacity Development, Sustainability and Societal Change partner to promote volunteering through the deployment of a fully funded GRÓ alumni UN Volunteer to New Delhi.

Today we celebrate both GRÓ LRT Day and World Environment Day by hearing from Dr Toshpulot Rajabov, a 2009 fellow from Uzbekistan, about his personal journey since graduating from the Land Restoration Training Programme in 2009.

Guest lecturer from Samarkand State University
This week GRÓ LRT had the honour to welcome three guests from Samarkand State University in Uzbekistan: Dr Toshpulot Rajabov, Director of the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security and a fellow in 2009; Professor Mamadiyar Khayitov, Soil Scientist and Agrochemist and Head of Department of Fruit and Vegetable Science; and Dr Holmurod Jalov, Specialist in Bryology and Head of Department of Botany.
