Participants with Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Iceland, Martin Eyjólfsson, at the Gender Equality Event at the UN House, New Delhi.

Four alumni from the GRÓ Gender Equality Studies and Training Programme (GRÓ GEST) gave lively accounts of their participation in the programme and how it has benefitted them in their work, at an event organised on International Women's Day, 8th March, in New Delhi. The event was organised by the Embassy of Iceland in New Delhi, in cooperation with the offices of UN Women and UNESCO in the country.

Martin Eyjólfsson, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, gave a key-note address on Icelandic gender policies at home and abroad, where he presented the work of GRÓ GEST. Other panelists were Susan Ferguson, Country Representative UN Women India, Joyce Poan, UNESCO, and the moderator, Ambassador Guðni Bragason. The meeting was held at the UN House in New Delhi, followed by a luncheon at the invitation of the Indo-Icelandic Business Association.
