Short Bio

Hrefna has a PhD in economics history from University of Gothenburg.

She has worked in the Icelandic fisheries sector for many years, including in the Ministry for fisheries. Now works for Fisheries Iceland which was established in 2014 when the Federation of Icelandic Fishing Vessel Owners and the Federation of Icelandic Fish Processing Plants merged. At Fisheries Iceland she is responsible for fisheries management and international affairs.

Hrefna sits on FTP’s study committee as fishery industry representative.
