Short Bio
Amanda leads the Biotechnology department at Firum and has a background in biomedicine and teaching. Her research focuses on using molecular biology to monitor fish health and identify environmental risks to sustainable aquaculture. She also develops lab-based services for the salmon farming industry as part of her tasks at Firum. As part of the GRO-FTP team, Amanda is responsible for the aquaculture line´s study visit to the Faroe Islands, lecturing on Biosecurity monitoring and regulations, and supervision of Fellows.
