Short Bio
Agnes has worked at the Marine Research Institute (MFRI) since 1994. She studied Biology at the University of Iceland and has a master's degree in marine biology. Agnes´ main tasks at the MRI have been in phytoplankton research, analysing phytoplankton species, primary production measurements, monitoring toxic phytoplankton species. In addition, a range of fish research and surveys on the MFRI research vessels. She has also been involved in reception and presentation of marine research work for university- and high school students and has experience of quality management. Agnes started to work for the Fisheries Training Program in September 2021.Education
