Description
This course was a revised version of a course held in the Caribbean region in 2010 at the request of the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM). Then directors of fisheries in the region were targeted, but this time their deputies and senior fisheries officers were invited. The course is designed to assist administrators to manage fisheries departments in facing new demands at times of rapid environmental and social changes.
The course was held in partnership with the CRFM, University of Belize and the University of Akureyri in Iceland on 8-12 April. There were 18 participants from 14 countries.
