2 parts 10-day short course was conducted, targeting the district fisheries officers and senior level officials. Fisheries policy and management was discussed with a total of 35 participants.

Description

The course was held in two parts. The first part was an intensive two-day course that targeted senior level civil servants and was held in Mombasa June 17-18, 2013.

Mombasa on 19-28 June. The course consisted of lectures, practical group work using data from various fisheries in Kenya.  Most of the lectures were delivered by the two Icelandic professors, while the group work (five groups) was led by Kenyan partners, including three former UNU-FTP fellows. There were thirty-five participants.
