Graduation of the 13th cohort of the UNU-FTP
As usual the fellows have gone through an applied six months intensive training and finished by conducting a project which was written up in a project report to be published on the UNU-FTP web site. The projects tackle issues that relate to their work at home. Many Icelandic fisheries professional participate in the execution of the programme and the unique relationship UNU-FTP has with key fisheries institutes and university in Iceland makes the programme as it is today. The total number of graduates since the inception of the UNU-FTP in 1998 is now 223 from 43 countries and this year two new countries where represented in the group; Oman and Indonesia. The UNU-FTP cooperates also with many regional organizations and this year two fellows came from the Caribbean through the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM). The staff of the UNU-FTP congratulates the graduates and wishes them all the best in their professional carrier.
