Short Bio

Maria Svavarsdottir has been working as a Project Manager of the Soil Laboratory at the Agricultural University of Iceland, Keldnaholt, since 2018. Before that, she did various types of field- and laboratory work for the Soil Conservation Service of Iceland. From 2012-2016, Maria was an assistant teacher in physical geography and soil science at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Iceland. Additionally, Maria served as a weather and snow observer in Hveravellir (central Iceland) for the Icelandic Meteorological Office from 1997-2000.
