Short Bio
Karl Benediktsson is a human geographer and a professor in the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Iceland. His research interests include rural and regional development, political ecology, and human-nonhuman relations. Besides Iceland, he has undertaken research in Papua New Guinea, Malawi and Ghana. Karl has published extensively on his topics of interest, including the book Harvesting Development (2002). He has supervised several final projects of GRÓ LRT fellows.
