UNU-LRT fellows present their projects at an open seminar
This week the UNU-LRT fellows introduced their individual projects at an open seminar in the newly renovated localities of Keldnaholt campus, Agricultural University of Iceland. The fellows have been working on their projects since May and the oral presentations, along with comprehensive reports, are the final output of their work at the UNU-LRT programme. The final turn-in of their project reports is on 15 September and a few days later the graduation will take place.
The projects presented at the seminar this year were diverse. Some of the fellows did their research on data brought from their home countries; others did an Icelandic study while a few fellows did qualitative research on perceptions and practices of local communities in their home countries by sending questionnaires to their colleagues back home. Prior to the Seminar, the fellows had received two-day training on presentation techniques from an international guest lecturer, Ms Susan Muska, who is an American documentary film maker and a speech coach. Overall, it was an interesting seminar with some thought evoking points. An overview of the fellows´ projects can be found here.
