Two new GRÓ LRT scholarships for MSc studies in Restoration Ecology 2025-2027

GRÓ LRT is awarding two scholarships for graduates of its six-month training programme to pursue a master’s degree in Restoration Ecology at the Agricultural University of Iceland (AUI), starting August 18, 2025. The scholarship covers tuition, academic expenses, travel, health insurance, housing, and a monthly living stipend. However, it does not include expenses for family members. Scholarship recipients must conduct thesis research on land restoration or sustainable land management relevant to their home countries and commit to returning to their home institution after graduation. The MSc in Restoration Ecology is a two-year, full-time, 120 ECTS programme focusing on combating degradation and restoring ecosystems. Applications for non-EU/EEA students are due by January 31, 2025. All graduates of the six-month GRÓ LRT programme accepted into 

the MSc programme will be considered for the scholarships—no separate application is needed.
