News from former fellows
At UNU-LRT, we are always delighted to pass on good news from former fellows. Recently, we received news from a few former fellows who have been promoted in their jobs and finished university degrees.
A few fellows have been promoted: Ms Malipholo Eleanor Hae from Lesotho (UNU-LRT fellow 2016) has been appointed as a Principal Range Management Officer at the Ministry of Forestry, Range & Soil Conservation in Lesotho´s capital, Maseru. Ms Huriatu Anafo Alidu from Ghana and a UNU-LRT fellow in 2015, has been promoted to a Programme Officer at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Ghana. Ms Alidu is also in the process of pursuing a Master’s degree. Mr Elhadji Zakaria Ibrahim Ousseini, a UNU-LRT fellow from 2011, has been promoted to a Director of a Department in the Regional Directorate of the Environment and Desertification Control in Kollo in Tillabery Region, Niger. Moreover, he has started his PhD work. Ms Tigist Araya from Ethiopia, a former LRT fellow from the 2009 training programme, recently finished her PhD from the Center for Development Research (ZEF), Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Management, at the University of Bonn, Germany. Finally, Ms Chantsallkham Jamsranjav (LRT fellow from 2009) has also been granted a PhD degree from the Colorado State University in the US.
