GRÓ LRT fellows visit the President of Iceland

The GRÓ LRT fellows had the privilege of visiting the President of Iceland, Mr. Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, at the presidential residence Bessastaðir, this week.

President Jóhannesson warmly welcomed the GRÓ LRT fellows and staff to his official residence. Following a brief speech, he invited questions, prompting an engaging discussion on various topics including the wetland restoration activities on the Bessastaðir estate and the intricacies of the presidency. The lively conversations were accompanied by traditional Icelandic pancakes, coffee and tea.
