GRÓ LRT fellows with the President in Bessastaðir

The GRÓ LRT fellows had the honour of visiting the President of Iceland, Mr. Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, at Bessastaðir, the presidential residence, this week.

The President extended a warm welcome to the GRÓ LRT fellows and staff at his official premises. After a brief address, the President extended an open invitation for questions, sparking an engaging discussion where the fellows delved into various topics including the intricacies of the presidency and Iceland's governmental framework. Traditional Icelandic pancakes and cups of coffee were enjoyed during the lively discussions.

As the visit drew to a close, the President joined the fellows outdoors for a group photograph, bidding them a heartfelt farewell.
