Short Bio
Málfríður Ómarsdóttir (or Fríða) is a Project Manager at GRÓ GTP. She holds a BSc in Geography and a MSc in Environmental Science and Natural Resources from the University of Iceland. Her academic focus is on sustainability and mitigating the effects of climate change through renewable energy development. She has taken part in various international science projects, related to environmental and social sustainability as well as conducted glaciological and geological research related to climatic effects. She has been working at the Geothermal Training Programme in Iceland since 2012. She is a member of Women in Geothermal (WING) since its beginning and is an avid spokesperson for gender equality on various venues around the world.Education
