Description
An advanced training in borehole geology started in Kenya on July 16 2012 and concluded on February 2 2013. The training was especially designed for staff members of the Borehole Geology Division of KenGen, who had not received training in Iceland.
The aim of the training was to give the trainees an advanced understanding of the utilization of borehole geology in geothermal exploration/development, both in practical and theoretical terms, and its relation to other fields of Geology, Geochemistry and Geophysics. And to overhaul the procedures used at KenGen in using Borehole Geology in geothermal drilling and development.
There were 5 participants in the training.
