UNU-GTP and LaGeo, El Salvador sign a new cooperation agreement

On Monday, 25 April, the UNU-GTP and LaGeo of El Salvador signed an agreement regarding enhanced cooperation in geothermal capacity building for the Latin America and Caribbean region.  In addition to the annual short courses that have been offered at LaGeo premises in El Salvador since 2006, the two parties will work towards enabling the continuation of a diploma course programme in El Salvador, similar to the one that has been offered at the University of El Salvador since 2010, with funding from the Italian Cooperation, the Nordic Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

The next short course held in cooperation between the UNU-GTP and LaGeo is scheduled for the first week of September.
