Short course X to be held in Kenya in November 2015

The United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme (UNU-GTP) in Iceland, Kenya Electricity Generating Company Ltd. (KenGen), and Geothermal Development Company (GDC) in Kenya will be hosting the “Short Course X on Exploration for Geothermal Resources”, to be held at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort and Enashipai Spa and Resort, Naivasha, Kenya, November 9 to December 1, 2015.

Participation in the course is by invitation only. The course is mainly aimed at young professionals from Eastern Africa and other African Rift Countries with a diploma or a degree in chemistry, physics, geology (earth sciences), environmental science or engineering, who have been actively involved in geothermal energy research in the home country or are potential candidates for that in the near future. Attendance will be limited to individuals below 35 years of age. Female participation is encouraged.
