Seminar on education for sustainable development

Seminar on education for sustainable development: United Nations University and other educational opportunities in Iceland. 

On Friday the 21st of September 2012 at 15:00-17:00 at the University of Iceland, Askja building, all the UNU Iceland Programmes and the GEST Programme will participate in a public seminar on education for sustainable development in cooperation with the United Nations Association in Iceland (UNA Iceland).

The seminar is a part of a week-long campaign (17.-22. Sept.) by the UNA in Iceland to inform the public and raise awareness about the successes of development cooperation. 

Representatives from all the UNU Iceland programmes will give a short lecture about their experiences in the Programmes and how it may impact sustainable development in their home countries. Maxine Mekio Lahan from Papua New Guinea will represent the Fellows from the UNU Geothermal Training Programme.
