The thesis of our PhD Fellow, Dr Thecla Mutia from Kenya is now available online.
Thecla started her post-graduate degree in 2011 on a MSc Fellowship but the scope of her project was considered to be on a PhD level, and was therefore developed into a PhD Fellowship. Thecla defended her PhD thesis in 2016 at the University of Iceland. Her topic The impacts of geothermal power plant emissions on terrestrial ecosystems in contrasting bio-climatic zones received very good remarks from her external examiner and her research has contributed to a further understanding of the effects of geothermal power plant emissions on the environment.
Dr Thecla Mutia, is now a Senior Scientist in the Geothermal Energy Research and Innovation department at the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) in Kenya.
