An unusual view on the impact of the GTP in Kenya - A PhD research

The impact of the Geothermal Training Programme in Iceland is well known to the large team of experts that are engaged in the training in our various activities.  It is however often difficult to express in detail the exact extent of the impact on the different levels for the i) individual, ii) their institute, iii) their country to outsiders.  

In 2022, a PhD student did a study on how geothermal knowledge is transferred from Iceland to Kenya through training.  The result is an unusual take on the impact of the GTP on its fellows from Kenya and other countries, as her study is in ethnography.
