GRÓ LRT and Green Gold-Mongolian Rangeland Research Centre co-host successful side event at UNCCD COP17
Last week, GRÓ Land Restoration Training Programme (GRÓ LRT) and the Green Gold - Mongolian Rangeland Research Centre co-hosted a successful side event at the 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The event was supported by Iceland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate.

GRÓ Land Restoration Training Programme graduates 22 fellows from 11 countries
The GRÓ Land Restoration Training Programme (GRÓ LRT) celebrated the graduation of 22 fellows from its six-month training in ecological restoration and sustainable land management at a ceremony held at the Agricultural University of Iceland’s Keldnaholt campus.

Final Project Seminar Highlights the Breadth of Land Restoration
This Monday and Tuesday, the 2026 GRÓ LRT fellows presented their final projects during the Project Seminar at Keldnaholt. The seminar is an important milestone in the six-month training programme and brings together the work the fellows have developed during their time in Iceland.
