GRÓ Governing Board and Management Team discuss priorities for GRÓ
The GRÓ Governing Board and the GRÓ Programme Directors met for discussions on GRÓ‘s strategy and priorities, the work ahead, the cooperation with UNESCO and other GRÓ related issues, on 12 November. The meeting was a welcome opportunity for all parties to take stock of the work and discuss priorities going forward.
Dr. Antonio Abreu, Director of the Division of Ecological and Earth Sciences and Secretary of the Man and the Biosphere Programme attended the meeting on behalf of UNESCO. In connection to Dr. Abreu‘s visit to Iceland he also met with the GRÓ Land Restoration Training Programme and staff of the host institution of the GRÓ LRT, the University of Iceland, and with the GRÓ Fisheries Training Programme, hosted at the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute. Dr. Abreu also gave a speech at the GRÓ Geothermal Training Programme.
