Dr. Lanre completes his doctoral studies at the University of Iceland
Dr. Lanre, as we call him now, defended his dissertation on December 19 which was composed of four published articles under the title of “Economic Assessment of Catfish Farming in Nigeria”. His supervisor was Professor Dadi Mar Kristofersson, a long-standing colleague of the GRÓ FTP team, and also on Dr. Lanre´s studies committee were Dr. Tumi Tomasson, a former UNU-FTP director, and Dr. Theodor Kristjansson, head of Sustainable Aquaculture at GRÓ FTP. In his work, Dr. Lanre sheds light on the key components contributing to sustainable aquaculture operations in Nigeria. His findings will have a great impact on aquaculture development in Nigeria and may also contribute to aquaculture development in other African countries. The GRÓ FTP team is very proud of Dr. Lanre´s accomplishments and wishes him all the best in the tasks ahead.
